All the above information represents my "standard" guitars. If you have any special requests, please call me or visit my shop to discuss your special ideas. I'm always open for input from the individual player. Together we can work on tailoring your own personalized instrument. I can also offer other wood species for backs and sides on request: Zebrawood, Oregon Myrtle and Padauk. For example, I've built a few guitars with Padauk back and sides. These instruments have outstanding tonal qualities, especially when combined with a Cedar top. Oregon Myrtle is a wonderful wood for Flamenco guitars with similar characteristics as Spanish Cypress with an even more interesting visual appearance. A Word on Rosettes:I like to be creative. My rosette designs vary from time to time. I usually make a few guitars with the same pattern and then favor a new pattern. Please inquire on availability of current designs. Finish:All my guitars are French polished. Lacquer finish only upon request. |
